1) Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using this website or booking a service, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the site. We may update the Terms at any time; changes apply when posted. For material changes, we’ll update the effective date and note the change.

2) Who we are

Dylan’s Mobile Repair LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us”) provides on-site mobile mechanic services in the greater Salt Lake City area.

3) Booking & Service Rules

Accurate information. When booking, you agree to provide accurate details: name, email, phone, service address, vehicle year/make/model, VIN (last 8 digits preferred) or license plate, and a brief issue description.

Service area & access. Jobs occur at your location if it’s safe and permitted. You’re responsible for permission from property owners/HOAs, adequate space, and safety. We may refuse or reschedule if conditions are unsafe or unlawful.

Diagnostics & estimates. Diagnostics may be billed separately. Estimates are good-faith and may change after on-site assessment (e.g., seized fasteners, additional faults). We’ll seek approval before any price increase.

Parts policy. We may use OEM or high-quality after market parts. Customer-supplied parts are accepted as-is and may limit or void workmanship/parts warranty.

Cancellations/no-shows. Please cancel/reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.

On-site limits. We won’t perform work prohibited by local rules (e.g., underground garages without permission), unsafe roadside repairs, or fluid work where spill control isn’t possible.

4) Payments, Fees, Taxes

You agree to pay all charges approved before work begins. Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude taxes.

Processor fees. Card/PayPal/ACH are processed by third parties; their terms apply. Any bank/transfer fees charged by your provider are your responsibility.

Invoices are due as stated at booking/estimate. Unpaid balances may incur a late fee as permitted by law.

5) Communications (Calls, Texts, Email)

Service communications. By providing your phone/email during booking, you consent to service/logistics messages (confirmations, reminders, updates).

Marketing texts/emails. We send marketing only if you opt-in (prior express written consent for texts). You can opt out anytime: reply STOP to texts; use unsubscribe links in emails. See Privacy Policy for details.

Call recording. If we record support calls for quality/training, we’ll notify you where required.

6) User Conduct & Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the site (e.g., spam, scraping, reverse engineering, security testing without consent) and not to upload unlawful content.

7) Intellectual Property

Site content, logos, and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors. You get a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the site solely for booking and information.

8) Third-Party Services

Booking, maps, analytics, and payments may be provided by third parties (e.g., booking platform, Google Maps, PayPal). Their terms and privacy practices apply.

9) Warranty Disclaimer

Except as required by law or an express written warranty we issue for a particular job, the site is provided “as is” and “as available.”

10) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability related to the site or a booking is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant service.

11) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of (a) your misuse of the site, (b) information you submit, or (c) your breach of these Terms.

12) Dispute Resolution; Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflicts principles. Venue lies in the state or federal courts in Salt Lake County, Utah. You agree to personal jurisdiction there.

Plain-English summary (not a substitute for the full policy):
We collect booking/contact and vehicle details to deliver mobile mechanic services, send confirmations, and manage appointments. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising. You can opt out of marketing at any time and exercise privacy rights available in your state. Details below.

1) Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect Personal Information when you visit our site, book a service, call/text/email us, or otherwise interact with our business in the U.S.

2) What we collect

(A) Information you provide

Identifiers & contact: name, email, phone, service address/city/ZIP.

Vehicle details: year/make/model, VIN (we recommend last 8 digits), license plate (optional), mileage, issue description, photos/videos you upload.

Booking & communications: preferred date/time, notes, messages, call recordings (if applicable).

Payments: If you pay electronically, the payment processor collects card/PayPal details; we receive transaction metadata (amount, status, last 4 digits where applicable), not full card numbers.

(B) Information collected automatically

Device/usage: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, time on site, referring URLs.

Cookies/SDKs: strictly necessary cookies for booking/session; optional analytics cookies if enabled.

(C) Information from third parties

Booking providers, payment processors, analytics, review platforms, and mapping services may send us limited information to complete your booking or measure site performance.

3) Why we use your information (purposes)

Provide services: schedule, dispatch, perform diagnostics/repairs, manage warranties, process payments.

Communications: confirmations, reminders, updates, and (with opt-in) marketing.

Safety & fraud prevention: verify identity/contact, detect misuse, secure the site.

Legal compliance: tax/accounting, responding to lawful requests.

Analytics & improvement: understand usage to improve the site and services.

4) Our lawful bases / principles (U.S.)

We apply data-minimization and purpose-limitation principles. Where state law requires consent (e.g., for marketing texts under TCPA) we obtain it. For emails, we follow CAN-SPAM requirements (clear sender, physical address, unsubscribe). (Federal Trade Commission)

5) Sensitive or government-ID data

We do not seek Social Security numbers or driver’s license scans via the site. Please do not upload such documents. For vehicle identification, VIN last 8 digits is typically sufficient.

6) Cookies & tracking

Necessary cookies keep sessions/booking working.

Analytics cookies (if enabled) help us improve the site; you can disable in your browser.

“Do Not Track”/Global Privacy Control: If we enable advertising cookies in the future, we’ll honor recognized opt-out signals where required.

7) SMS/Text & Phone Compliance

Service texts/calls. By providing your number and booking, you agree we may send you service-related calls/texts (e.g., confirmations, technician on the way).

Marketing texts. We send promotional texts only with your prior express written consent. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can reply STOP to opt out (and HELP for help). See also the FCC/TCPA rules recognizing texts as “calls” and requiring consent/opt-out. (Federal Register)

Do-Not-Call. We respect the National/State DNC rules. Quiet hours apply.

8) Email Marketing

Marketing emails comply with CAN-SPAM: accurate sender/subject, our physical mailing address on the message, and a working unsubscribe link honored within 10 business days. (Federal Trade Commission)

9) Disclosures to third parties

We disclose Personal Information to:

Service providers/processors (booking platform, payment processors, hosting, analytics, communications) under contracts restricting their use.

Business transfers (merger/acquisition) — data may transfer with notice.

Legal compliance — law enforcement or regulators when required.

We do not “sell” or “share” Personal Information as defined by the California Privacy Rights Act (no cross-context behavioral advertising). If this changes, we will update this policy and present required opt-outs. (National Law Review)

10) Data retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal/record-keeping requirements (e.g., tax, warranty). Then we delete or disidentify it.

11) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate for a small service business. No method is 100% secure.

12) Your privacy choices & state rights

Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port your data, and to opt-out of targeted advertising/sale/profiling.

California (CPRA): applies to businesses meeting certain thresholds (e.g., >$25M revenue, or processing 100k residents/households, or 50%+ revenue from selling/sharing). We don’t expect to meet these thresholds, but we will reasonably honor verifiable requests. (JD Supra)

Colorado (CPA): applies at 100k consumers/yr or 25k with data-sale revenue; provides access/correction/deletion/portability and opt-outs. (Baker Donelson)

Utah (UCPA): applies only if a business has $25M+ annual revenue and meets specific volume thresholds; includes access, deletion, and opt-out of sale/targeted ads. (dcp.utah.gov)

How to make a request: email [email protected] with “Privacy Request” and (1) what you want (access/correct/delete/opt-out), (2) your name, (3) contact info, and (4) the service date(s). We will verify your identity (e.g., match booking info). If we decline under an exemption/threshold, we’ll tell you why and how to appeal.

13) Children’s privacy

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to remove it.

14) International visitors

We primarily serve U.S. residents. If you visit from outside the U.S., you consent to processing in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws.

15) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date and, if appropriate, provide a notice on the site.
